I come from a long line of people dying from heart related ailments. My father was 62 when he died from complications of by-pass surgery, then my 44-year-old brother had a heart attack and died. A few months later my mother passed away in her bed from a stroke. My oldest brother, 53 whom I had not seen in nine years came for the funeral. I said he was looking good, he said I would not believe how bad he felt inside. He died 21 days later upon arrival at the hospital.

Then four months later, in June of 1998 I suffered a massive heart attack and lost 35% of my heart to damaged tissue and had a 95% blockage in one of my arteries. The doctors told my wife to go home and prepare for the worst, I survived, modern medicine saved my life but it left me eligible for disability.
